About me
With over 37 years of experience in the NHS — both as a nurse and a midwife — it’s been an absolute privilege to support many families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
Over the years, I’ve worked in some of the UK’s most prestigious hospitals, holding senior roles where I’ve had the opportunity to influence, mentor, and shape the way maternity services are delivered. My experience spans every area of maternity care — from antenatal and postnatal support to managing complex births — all with the goal of providing safe, personalised, and compassionate care.
In addition to my midwifery expertise, I’m qualified to perform the Newborn and Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) and have completed specialist training in Biomechanics, which helps support and optimise labour and birth progression.
For 15 years, alongside my NHS roles, I was the midwife expert for Mothercare Ltd, offering trusted advice to parents through their website and Gurgle magazine — helping to make pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding feel a little less overwhelming.
Woman-centred, evidence-based care has always been at the heart of my practice. I want the families I work with to feel informed, empowered, and genuinely supported throughout their journey to parenthood.
After many years in the NHS, I’m now proud to offer private midwifery care that’s truly holistic and family-focused. Whether you're looking for a full maternity care package or a one-off consultation, I’ll tailor my support to suit your unique needs.
And as a mother and grandmother myself, I understand how reassuring it is to have someone by your side who truly listens, cares, and brings both warmth and expertise.
So whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those early newborn days, or simply looking for a little guidance — I’m here for you, every step of the way.
